I believe it is time the world had binding international instruments regulating how businesses around the world interact with human rights issues. Businesses must be held to account where their activities have a negative influence on the protection and promotion of human rights.

The draft legally binding instrument to regulate, in international human rights law, the activities of transnational corporations and other business enterprises by the UN is a step in the right direction.
